What's For Breakfast?

Ever since my surgery over 3 months ago (WOW!) I have had the same 3 breakfasts over and over again.
Breakfast #1
*Fried eggs (no butter)
Breakfast #2
*Egg omlet w/low sodium bacon and low fat cheddar cheese
Breakfast #3
*CarbMaster Yogurt mixed with Kashi Go Lean Crunch
Sometimes I have bacon with my fried eggs, but I always have some kind of fruit with any breakfast. But it's always the same and usually involves eggs.
My question to all of you who have had WLS, what do you eat for breakfast? I need some variation, but I'm so picky about my food. I'm used to the super carby breakfasts like the picture, lol, mmm...food porn >:) LOL.
I just bought some turkey sausage and that was pretty ok. But come on, there's got to be more out there.
Leave me comments w/ideas and/or recipes :) I'd love to hear from you!

  1. Ok, so I haven't had weight loss surgery so my ideas might not count :) But they are healthy. What about a fresh fruit smoothie? Costco has a bag of individual servings, well each bag is actually 2 servings, and you just add water and then add Stevia to sweeten it if need be. Another alternative would be regular oatmeal with brown sugar splenda.

  2. Haha, food porn! I actually haven't started eating breakfast. Sometimes I have eggs with pepperjack cheese. I used to have my protein shake in the AM but found out I should drink it after my Noon workout so I am going to start eating SOMETHING for breakfast. Maybe a mashed up veggie patty with cheese...hmmmm

  3. Think outside of the box - there is no rule or law that says you must have breakfast foods for breakfast. I'm 14 months out from surgery and have lost 111 lbs. - I surpassed my goal of 160 and am now at 155. I'm not a big breakfast person and do not eat unless I'm truly hungry. Sometimes I'll have a Carnation Instant Breakfast drink, sometimes a container of yogurt, sometimes a piece of ham, or a piece of cheese, or a few almonds. They're good on-the-go foods so I can eat whenever I decide I am truly hungry. My blog is sallyslapbandjourney.blogspot.com. Good luck to you.
